Frequently Asked Questions
Is Evenground free?
Yes. All features are free to use. There are no in-app purchases, subscriptions or advertisements in the current version.
Do I need an account?
No. Evenground does not require an email address, password or account registration. You can open the app and start using it right away.
Where is my personal content stored?
Journal entries, mood check-ins, saved coping strategies and garden progress are stored locally on your device, within the app’s designated storage area.
This information is not transmitted to Evenground or third parties, and no separate copy is maintained. For more details, please review the Privacy Policy.
Will my entries transfer to a new phone?
Information stored by Evenground may be included in device backups, such as iCloud backups or backups to a computer. Restoring your new device from an existing backup may allow you to recover your entries and app progress.
These backups are managed by your device and its associated backup service, rather than by Evenground. You can exclude the app from your device backups through your backup settings, although doing so means your information will not be included when transferring to a new device.
I reinstalled the app and my entries are missing. Can I recover them?
Uninstalling Evenground removes the information stored locally on your device. Since Evenground does not maintain a separate copy of your content, we cannot restore deleted entries.
However, if you have a device backup from before uninstalling the app, restoring your device from that backup may recover some or all of your information. Consider checking this before setting up the app again.
How do I turn off daily thoughts?
Open the app menu, navigate to Notifications, and switch off Send it daily. You can also adjust the time your daily thought notification arrives from this screen.
Notification permission is only requested when you enable this feature.
How do I delete everything stored by the app?
Uninstalling Evenground removes the information stored locally on your device. The app does not currently offer a separate reset option.
Since Evenground does not maintain copies of your personal content, there is no additional information for us to delete. If you have submitted feedback and would like it removed, please contact us using the email address above and provide an approximate submission date.
Which devices are supported?
Evenground is designed for iPhone and requires iOS 15 or later. The current version has not been optimized for iPad, so the app is intended primarily for use on iPhone.
Is Evenground a substitute for professional mental health care?
No. Evenground is a non-clinical mental wellness application. Its tools and resources are intended to complement, not replace, professional mental health care.
If you are experiencing difficulties with your mental well-being, consider speaking with a qualified healthcare professional, such as a doctor or therapist. The Crisis Support section of the app also provides links to helplines for additional support.
